Aman Dhesi already ran a successful Fish & Chip shop, Brockfield Fisheries in Huntingdon and was a semi-finalist in the Drywite Young Fish Friers competition 2015 which involved a trip to the Florigo Factory in Holland to see how our High Efficiency ranges are manufactured to such a high standard.
Aman’s goal for his next venture, The Scrap Box, was to produce the best possible product on the best equipment and after witnessing first hand the superior build of a Florigo during the factory tour, he knew Florigo was the one.
John Georgallis met up with Aman on site and measured up for a Florigo 4 pan Island range complete with a built in griddle to accommodate the breakfast offering alongside the fabulous fresh fish & chips. With High Efficiency pans and our built in Active Triple Filtration, the range was manufactured with the same expertise, skill and pride that Aman witnessed during his visit.
After installation of the range, full training was provided to make sure Aman and his staff are able to get the best out of their Florigo and they all enjoyed the training experience with Aman describing the day as “Absolutely Brilliant”.
The Scrap Box opened in August 2016 and is situated on the A1079 layby just past just past Dunnington. It is a stylish cafe & takeaway serving breakfast and traditional Fish & Chips. The transformation of the building is quite a surprise when you walk in, with a modern look and feel for customers to enjoy the tasty food. With fantastic reviews on trip adviser and over social media, winning the accolade of The Press Readers Choice Best Fish & Chips award in November voted by the public proves that The Scrap Box are doing everything right to secure a great future with their business.
We wish Aman and the team our Congratulations on their recent accolade and all the best with the Scrap Box.
Thank you for choosing Florigo.
